Residents can expect steady winds of 25-35 mph with gusts reaching up to 55 mph. The NWS has issued a wind advisory effective from 8 a.m. Saturday to 2 a.m. Sunday, with the peak intensity of the winds anticipated late Saturday afternoon into early evening. The wind advisory encompasses several cities in the region, including Henderson, Primm, North Las Vegas, Las Vegas, Searchlight, Boulder City, and Cal-Nev-Ari. While winds are expected to remain strong overnight into Sunday, they should taper off by Sunday morning. The forecast for Sunday predicts a high of 64 degrees in the central valley, with Monday's high expected to be around 69 degrees. ๐๏ธโโ๏ธโณ Las Vegas Welcomes Atomic Golf: A Fusion of Traditional Golf, Advanced Technology, and Premier Leisure
Las Vegas is set to enhance its golf entertainment offerings with the introduction of Atomic Golf, a state-of-the-art 103-bay golfing range located at The Strat. Opening on Friday, this 100,000-square-foot facility combines traditional golfing with advanced gaming technology, offering a unique experience that simulates video gaming in a vast driving range. Overlooking the picturesque Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, Atomic Golf has meticulously considered environmental factors such as the setting sun and wind patterns to ensure an optimal playing experience.
The $75 million project, developed by Flite Golf and Entertainment, spans four stories and features not only a high-tech driving range but also a putting district equipped with eight bays that utilize projection-mapping technology. Visitors can enjoy the convenience of on-site seating and clubs across all bays.

In addition to its recreational offerings, Atomic Golf provides meeting spaces and two luxury suites, enhancing its appeal as a premier destination for both golf enthusiasts and visitors looking for a unique entertainment experience.
โ Gov. Joe Lombardo Appoints Erika Mendoza to District Court, Filling Vacant Judicial Seat
Governor Joe Lombardo has appointed Erika Mendoza, a former prosecutor, as the judge of Department 27 in District Court. This appointment comes after the retirement of Nancy Allf, who served the court for nearly 13 years, mainly overseeing civil cases. Mendoza, a Boyd Law School graduate of 2011, has been with the Clark County district attorneyโs office since September 2011, contributing to various units including the gun crimes, general litigation, and appellate teams.
The selection process for the Department 27 seat saw seven applicants, from which Mendoza emerged as the choice among the top three nominees put forward to Governor Lombardo. To continue serving beyond the appointment, Mendoza is required to run in the November general election for the remaining term, which concludes in January 2027.
This judicial seat had inadvertently been included in an earlier ballot, leading to an unofficial declaration of vacancy and the filing of two candidates for the position. A special candidate filing period is anticipated from June 17 to July 26 to address this oversight.
Since his election, Governor Lombardo has made several judicial appointments, including former prosecutor Danielle Pieper to Department 7, private attorney Jacob Reynolds to Department 29, and former family law attorneys Paul Gaudet and Regina McConnell to Family Court.
