☀️ 100-Degree Days Ahead: Las Vegas Weather Forecast for the Coming Week
Mostly 100-degree days are arriving in Las Vegas for the coming week, according to the National Weather Service. The forecast indicates that Tuesday could have a high near 100 degrees, with the potential for winds to gust up to 22 mph under a sunny sky.
The high temperatures are expected to continue throughout the week, with Wednesday and Thursday forecasted to have highs around 99 and 100 degrees, respectively. The weekend is projected to be even hotter, with highs of 102 degrees on both Friday and Saturday.
No rain is in the forecast for the week, and morning lows will be in the mid-70s.

Date: June 11.
Poll Hours: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Vote Centers: Your sample ballot packet includes a listing of vote centers near you. You can also use the “Vote Center Locator” map tool at Clark County Elections.

Important Dates:
May 22: Deadline for the start of mailing in-state ballots.
May 23: No sample ballots for newly registered voters (those who register on or after this date will not receive a sample ballot for the current election).
May 25 to June 7: Early voting period.
May 29 to June 11: Registration or updates to registration can only be done online. No sample ballot will be mailed, and you must vote in person.
June 11: Election Day.
June 14, 5 p.m.: Deadline for submitting ID and/or proof of residence for provisional ballots, if needed.
June 15, 5 p.m.: Deadline for receiving mail ballots returned via the post office.
June 17, 5 p.m.: Deadline for curing mail ballot signature issues.
June 21: Deadline for county commission canvass.

♥️ Poker Rivals Becker and Tice Face Off in High-Stakes WSOP Bet
Jeremy Becker and Landon Tice, two of poker's rising stars, will go head-to-head throughout the summer at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) starting Tuesday. The pair has a crossbook bet to see who will earn the most money by the end of the series, with the winner taking home an additional sum.

Rivalry Setup: Jeremy Becker, backed by poker legend Daniel Negreanu, and Landon Tice, supported by Matt Berkey, have entered a crossbook bet. This friendly competition emerged from a suggestion on social media and was quickly agreed upon.

🍲 MGM Resorts' Food Donation Program Reaches 5 Million Meals Milestone
MGM Resorts International has surpassed its target of donating 5 million meals to communities where it operates resorts, achieving this milestone ahead of its 2025 goal, the company announced Monday.
Key Points:
Feeding Forward Program: MGM’s Feeding Forward initiative has successfully donated food that would otherwise go to waste and provided approximately $375,000 in grants to organizations combating food insecurity in Southern Nevada and other areas.
2023 Achievements: In 2023 alone, the program donated around 1.2 million meals.
Community Impact: Nonprofit Feeding America reported that one in eight Southern Nevadans face food insecurity. MGM’s efforts have been critical in addressing this issue.
Corporate Responsibility: Jyoti Chopra, MGM’s Chief People, Inclusion, and Sustainability Officer, emphasized that the program reflects the company’s commitment to social responsibility.
Beneficiaries: The donated food from resorts like Bellagio, MGM Grand, and Luxor has been distributed by Three Square Food Bank and other organizations, including Ronald McDonald House Charities, which provided about 5,200 meals to children through the Taste of Home Dinner program.

📶 Mobile Buys U.S. Cellular's Wireless Operations for $4.4 Billion
T-Mobile has announced the acquisition of U.S. Cellular's wireless operations and specific spectrum assets in a deal valued at $4.4 billion, further consolidating the telecommunications industry.
Key Points:
Expansion of Customer Base: T-Mobile will add over 4 million new customers.
Spectrum Control: The acquisition includes approximately 30% of U.S. Cellular’s spectrum assets across several spectrum bands.
Infrastructure Enhancements: The deal involves a new master license agreement for over 2,000 towers and extended leases for around 600 towers where T-Mobile is already a tenant.
Improved Customer Experience: T-Mobile CEO Mike Sievert stated that the deal would enhance customer experience by increasing coverage and capacity.
5G Network Benefits: U.S. Cellular customers will gain access to T-Mobile’s 5G network, improving coverage and speed, particularly in rural areas.
